Kimberly Noel “Kim” Kardashian (born October 21, 1980) is an American “celebutante”, socialite, model, actress, businesswoman, and television personality. She is best known for her social life and her role on the E! reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Early life

Kardashian is of Armenian (father), Scottish and Dutch (mother) descent, the daughter of attorney Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner (née Houghton). Robert Kardashian, best known for being O. J. Simpson’s lawyer during his murder trial, died on September 30, 2003. Her mother, Kris, divorced Robert in 1989, and married former Olympian Bruce Jenner in 1991.

Kardashian has two sisters, Kourtney and Khloé, and one brother, Robert. She also has stepbrothers Burton Jenner, Brandon Jenner, and reality TV star Brody Jenner, stepsister Casey Jenner, and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. O. J. Simpson is Kardashian’s godfather.

While attending high school, Kardashian worked at her father’s music marketing firm, Movie Tunes.

Career

Her first acting role was in the television series Beyond the Break. She then starred in the 2008 disaster film spoof Disaster Movie as Lisa, alongside Carmen Electra and Vanessa Minnillo. Kardashian also appeared in an episode of How I Met Your Mother entitled “Benefits”.

Kardashian has done many small modeling jobs on the side of her television career. Kardashian posed nude for the December 2007 issue of Playboy magazine. In February 2008 Bongo Jeans announced that Kardashian would be their new face model. Kardashian is also a model for Travis Barker’s Famous Stars and Straps clothing line. Kardashian is one of the stars of the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians along with her two sisters, mother, brother, half-sisters, and stepfather.

On May 2, 2008, Kardashian released a workout DVD, Workout with Kim Kardashian, and a set of workout cards with the help of trainer Kathy Kaehler. In July 2008, Kardashian announced on her personal blog that she is working on her own perfume line to be released in 2009. In March 2009 Kardashian launched a shoe shopping service. Kardashian is slated to appear as a guest judge during Cycle 13 of America’s Next Top Model. Kardashian co-owns a clothing boutique called D-A-S-H with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe.

Dancing With The Stars

Kardashian was one of 13 participants on the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars. She was partnered with Current DWTS Champion Mark Ballas. Kardashian was the third contestant voted off the show on September 30, 2008, finishing in 11th place overall.

Personal life

In 2000, Kardashian married music producer Damon Thomas; their relationship ended in divorce in 2004. In 2007, she began dating NFL star Reggie Bush after they met at the ESPY Awards. The couple split at the end of July 2009.

However, as of 9/29/09, a source tells E! that Kim and Reggie are now back together. “[Khloe's] wedding made her miss him, so she flew to see him,” the source said. Following her sister’s nuptials, Kardashian hopped on a plane headed for New Orleans late Sunday night — still wearing her purple “Mr. and Mrs. Odom” sweat suit.

Sex tape scandal

In 2007, a pornographic home video she had made with her then-boyfriend, R&B singer Ray J, was leaked. Kardashian pursued legal action against Vivid Entertainment for ownership of the tape. Kardashian later dropped the suit and settled with Vivid Entertainment for US $5 million.

Adrianne Marie Curry (born August 6, 1982 in Joliet, Illinois) is an American model, best known as the first winner of the reality television series America’s Next Top Model. She is married to Christopher Knight, who portrayed Peter Brady on The Brady Bunch. She runs a weekly show on the NowLive radio network, in which she is an investor.

Career

Modeling

Curry won the first cycle of America’s Next Top Model.

Curry was signed to Wilhelmina Models in New York City. She has modeled for several magazines, including Life & Style Weekly, Us Weekly, Star, OK!, Stuff, People, Maxim and made the Maxim Hot 100 list in 2005., Spanish Marie Claire, Von Dutch, Von Dutch Watches, Salon City, Macy’s, Famous Stars and Straps, Lucky, Ed Hardy, Kinis Bikinis, Beverly Hills Choppers, and Merit Diamonds.

Curry’s runway shows include Anne Bowen Spring 2005, Jamie Pressly, Pamela Anderson’s line, Ed Hardy, Von Dutch, and Christopher Deane. She has appeared in a commercial for the Merit Diamonds Sirena Collection that ran from November 2004 to January 2006.

Curry appeared on the cover and in a nude pictorial for Playboy in February 2006 (U.S. Version). She returned for a second cover and nude pictorial in the January 2008 issue. Curry made Playboy’s 2008 top 25 sexiest women, along with Playboy’s top 100 Playboy spreads 2008 edition.

Television and film

Curry was a co-host on the television game show Ballbreakers. In 2006, she appeared on Gameshow Marathon as a celebrity panelist on the Match Game episode. She starred in “Rock Me Baby” (2004) and Half and Half (2003) on UPN. Curry also appeared on Dirt starring Courtney Cox, with whom she shared scenes. She appeared in rock band’s The Click Five music video Just the Girl, along with husband Christopher Knight.

Curry appeared on VH1’s celeb sci-fi reality show Celebrity Paranormal Project in 2006, along with her husband.

Curry appeared on WE tv’s From Russia with Love. The show documents her trip to Russia. It aired in November 2007. She has also starred in the films Fallen Angels, Light Years Away and “Jack Rio”.

In early 2005, Curry appeared on VH1’s fourth season of The Surreal Life. After the season ended, Curry and fellow house guest Christopher Knight began dating, and later moved in together. On September 11, 2005, VH1 began airing My Fair Brady, a show that documented their life together and paid her an estimated US$450,000. The show led her to being featured in Maxim’s Hot 100, a list of the “hottest” women on earth. and ranked #100 on the Maxim Hot 100 Women of 2005. Season 3 of My Fair Brady began airing on January 21, 2008 and focused on Curry’s breast enhancement surgery and Knight’s competing (and contrary) desire to start a family.

Curry and her family and friends appeared on NBC’s new show Celebrity Family Feud, which premiered on June 24, 2008.

Personal life

Knight proposed to Curry on the season finale of the show, which aired on November 6, 2005. The show was renewed for a second season, and focused on the couple’s wedding preparations. The second season began airing on VH1 in June 2006. The couple wed in Curry’s hometown of Joliet on May 29, 2006 in a gothic-style wedding. Says Curry of the goth-themed ceremony, “I wanted to go as Gothic as I could and as traditional as I could without ruffling anyone’s feathers. … I wanted to have a black dress … but I knew it would break my grandmother’s heart.”
